About Abi

I am a Contractor and Consultant with 16 years experience in Education and 7 years in L&D roles. My specialties include adult and continuing professional education, accessibility, and multimedia design. 

I am proficient in Learning Science, in the final stages of my PhD which focuses on the experience and transaction of online professional development. 

In a learning capacity, I have worked with Staffordshire University, The University of Glasgow, Glasgow Clyde College, the Workers Educational Association, Scottish Water, Tesco Bank, Chartered Banker Institute, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the British Journal of Urology International (BJUI), UK-Med, Ashurst LLP, NHS Education for Scotland, Glasgow Caledonian University and Edinburgh Napier University (where I am also a research student).

Prior to working in learning, I worked in Higher Education Research and Business Development. This included projects such as the European Regional Development Fund, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, the UK Government's flagship Green Deal programme with the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills and Birmingham City Council, The University of Manchester Business School's Research Excellence Framework 2014 submission and bidding for European Commission, Research Councils UK and a large selection of public, third and private sector funders and partners for Manchester, Birmingham and Aston University. 

I balance both creative and commercially sound business practices with a particular emphasis on projects and stakeholder management and strategy. My main focus is STEM education and training so please touch base for any advice, consultancy or training support you require.
