At Pattiesmuir we know that professionals need bespoke, flexible, and accessible training. Regardless of whether they’re looking to develop or enhance specialist skills in an existing field, transferring skills into the market for green jobs, or starting their own company, there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution.
We can offer everything from short training and reskilling sessions delivered by specialists through to whole programmes. These may be delivered entirely online as live sessions, or supported by recorded sessions, face-to-face activities (including site visits), purpose-written reference materials, reading lists, and signposting to useful organisations working in the field.
Flexible and accessible learning lies at the heart of our ethos. We are able to time live sessions around the professional and personal commitments of participants and provide packages of material to enable asynchronous learning, which we know is of particular value to women and those with caring commitments. We can also develop materials that are accessible to those with common disabilities, thereby helping overcome common barriers that sadly continue to hinder their employment and earning prospects.
We also know that simply training professionals in technical subjects is often not enough to unlock their true potential. They may need support for developing social and economic understandings of the fields in which they are or will be working, they may need support for communicating their skills and accessing those who needs them, and they may need support for establishing their own businesses. We know this because we’ve been there.
If you approach Pattiesmuir, we will:
Meet with you to understand your needs and the needs of those who will be participating in the services to be delivered. We are happy to work either as a sub-contractor or a strategic partner, and are always keen to identify opportunities for generating mutual benefits. We prefer to meet virtually to minimise our carbon footprints but we also understand the benefits of meeting face-to-face.
Produce a fully-costed proposal document that addresses those needs and sets out a plan for meeting them within your requested timeframe. This will include full details of all materials to be developed and delivered. To aid transparency, our costs are based on hourly or daily rates depending on the size and complexity of the project, and variable according to the tasks involved.
The proposal will include full details of any experts we will employ, or recommend employing, to supply and / or deliver content on a fixed-price basis. It will also set out details of any ownership or copyright conditions that either you or we may wish to apply during and / or after the delivery of the project.
We will also set out a schedule for meetings and payments to ensure all parties are happy with the work as it progresses. Typically, this will include an interim meeting for you to review the materials, after which we will invoice you for the costs involved.
Depending on your needs and the nature of the project, we will seek to generate added value through promoting the project through our professional networks. This can usually be done at minimal or no cost.
If we approach you about a need that you have advertised, we will:
We hope you like what you see here and elsewhere on our website.
